James (Jim) is BrightView’s Chief Operating Officer. Jim has more than 25 years experience running multi-site operations and executing rapid expansion strategies in retail, restaurant and healthcare settings. Jim started his career working in the retail and hospitality space and began his career in healthcare as the Vice President of Operations for CVS Health/ MinuteClinic. While at MinuteClinic, Jim was integral to the operations, growth, and success of the company’s retail healthcare clinics, located inside CVS stores – helping the company expand from 12 to over 600 locations during his tenure. From MinuteClinic, Jim served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Privia Health where he was responsible for managing operations and partner relationships with Privia’s high performance physician network, helping top doctors implement a next-generation care delivery platform that better supports patients in adhering to their doctor’s wellness and care recommendations. Jim was also instrumental in building out the organizational structure to support Privia’s national medical group practice. Most recently, Jim served as Chief Operating Officer | Ambulatory Services for MedStar Health responsible for operations including urgent care, multi-specialty practice operations and telehealth operations. Jim is a Cincinnati native, grew up on a family farm in Milford, OH and earned his BBA in Finance and BBA in Management from the University of Cincinnati.
Jim is excited to join BrightView and use his vast experience in healthcare and multi-site operations to make a difference in the largest healthcare epidemic today. BrightView’s mission to make a difference, at scale, across a rapidly growing network aligns well with Jim’s personal mission and values. Jim has been traveling for the last several years of his career and is grateful to have the opportunity to make an impact in the communities where he grew up and also calls home.
